Summary
Join us for this CPD to gain an understanding on the updates to the Building Safety Act.The housing and construction sectors are heavily influenced by evolving standards, regulations, and ethical considerations. A consistent focus on quality, safety, sustainability, and fairness is paramount in ensuring homes not only meet current needs but also safeguard future generations.
In response to the Grenfell Tower tragedy in 2017, the UK passed the Building Safety Act 2022, a comprehensive overhaul of building safety regulations. The primary focus of this Act is to improve the safety of high-rise buildings and other residential complexes, but it also introduces several new provisions for all types of construction. Key updates include the creation of the Building Safety Regulator, Building Safety Charge, and Cladding Remediation.
The landscape of building regulations continues to evolve rapidly, driven by concerns around safety, environmental sustainability, ethics, and technology. Developers and builders must stay informed of the regulatory landscape to not only comply with laws but also ensure that they are contributing to the creation of homes that are safe, sustainable, and beneficial for all communities.
This event will provide an update on Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act, with insights into the Consumer Code, and a presentation on Quality in the Construction Industry
