Summary
Join CIOB London Tomorrow's Leaders for our popular legal event of the year at Pinsent Masons Auditorium in London Crown Place offices.This CPD session will cover the key case law developments in the infrastructure sector over the last year and why they matter to you.
Special guest hosts: Alice Logan, Kirsty Gilbert-Dempsey, Harry Smith and Ben Guest will spend the evening discussing the most important court decisions from 2024 and provide some practical tips to help you to avoid common pitfalls.
There will also be opportunity at the end to ask questions to Ben and his co-presenters after this CPD.

Speakers:Alice Logan
Alice Logan is a New Zealand qualified solicitor in the Pinsent Masons CAD team specialising in construction, infrastructure, and energy disputes. She has experience working on a variety of significant projects, including wind farms, water supply infrastructure, and commercial and residential property. Alice has advised a diverse range of clients, including domestic and international employers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
Kirsten Gilbert-Dempsey
Kirsten is a dual-qualified Associate in the Construction Advisory and Disputes team at Pinsent Masons. She has experience advising both domestic and international clients and acts for developers, employers, contractors, funders, and sub-contractors on contentious and non-contentious issues related to construction, infrastructure, energy, and facilities management projects. She has gained considerable commercial benefit from time spent on secondment in-house with contractor clients, advising on project-specific claims and providing support to site teams on specific contractual queries.
Harry Smith
Harry is an Associate in the Projects team at Pinsent Masons. He works with a broad range of clients in the construction, engineering and infrastructure industries on a wide variety of transactional and non-contentious matters. Harry works for both domestic and international clients, and has acted for authorities, developers, contractors, and funders. Harry is familiar with a range of standard form contracts in particular JCT, FIDIC and NEC in addition to more bespoke forms of contract such as PPP/PFI contracts.
Ben Guest
Ben is an Associate in the Construction Advisory and Disputes team at Pinsent Masons. He specialises in the resolution of engineering, procurement and construction disputes through all methods of dispute resolution. He has experience advising major state-owned entities, contractors, employers and corporates on a range of major projects related matters across the infrastructure, energy, transportation and renewables sectors. Ben is based in London, and has also spent time in Hong Kong.
