Location: Bracknell (Hybrid role with 3 days per week in our Bracknell office. Other travel minimal in line with business requirements.)

Our Chief Operating Officer will work with our CEO, Leadership Team, Board of Trustees and a range of colleagues and stakeholders to develop and support the delivery of robust strategic and operational plans, working across the organisation to leverage the overall performance of the CIOB. They will ensure effective financial management and control throughout the Institute, aligning this with strategic priorities and activities.
They will provide strong strategic leadership to the CIOB’s enabling teams across Finance, Human Resources, Digital, Data and Technology, our Project Management Office and CIOB Assist (a separate Charity), ensuring that a high quality and value-added service is provided and enabling the CIOB to achieve its vision and strategic priorities through its workforce.
About You
You must be a qualified, chartered and experienced senior finance professional, and will bring experience, ambition and passion to the role, and will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of successfully leading enabling functions in addition to finance.
You’ll bring this experience from within the professional membership sector and will have an excellent knowledge of the charity sector and its regulatory requirements. If you’ve had a global reach, all the better.
A collaborative leader with well-developed communication skills at all levels, you will consistently strive for excellence, with the ability to build and develop a team of highly motivated and engaged staff.
