One of the 2020 highlights of the construction industry’s calendar kicks off this month with the CIOB’s Construction Manager of the Year Awards now open for nominations.
The Construction Manager of the Year Awards (CMYA), the Chartered Institute of Building’s annual celebration for industry talent, needs you and your nominations. Having celebrated 40 years of the awards in 2018, the next CMYA is now officially open and is completely free to enter. The CMYA has a reputation for showcasing the very finest talent in construction and is unique in the sector as they celebrate and recognise the achievements of the person and not the project.
CIOB Chief Executive, Caroline Gumble, said: “These awards are the most rigorously judged in the industry and a unique barometer for management talent in our sector. To reach the final is a major achievement and a sure sign that the very highest level of professionalism is on show. I fully expect 2020 to be even bigger and better and present us with fierce competition from the finest managers in the industry.”
The 2019 winner, Joseph McNeil MCIOB of Sir Robert McAlpine, said: “It’s amazing. Now I’m going to be on the Wall of Fame!"
The CMYA is open for nominations until 20 March 2020. To submit a nomination – and you can nominate yourself or one of your colleagues - have a look at the web site: https://www.cmya.co.uk
If you’d also like to save the date for the CMYA annual dinner, celebrating all the finalists and announcing the overall winner, it will be on 30 September 2020 in London.
