An interest in policy, public affairs, campaigning and parliamentary engagement on issues around improving the built environment would be highly desirable.

Mark Beard FCIOB, Chairman of construction group Beard, CIOB Vice President, and Policy Board Chair, said: “The Policy Board is a core part of the CIOB’s work in shaping and influencing the external environment. Board members will help the CIOB ensure that the built environment is one of the issues that policymakers understand and are able to make the case for, with a focus on promoting best practice in the building and construction industry for the benefit of society.”
The tenure for Board members is three years and there are four meetings a year, usually in London. Members of the Policy Board will also be invited CIOB-led parliamentary events and roundtable policy discussions.
