Summary

Join us in Brisbane for a joint CPD with CIBSE on the topic of environmental sustainability.

Join CIOB and CIBSE for an inspiring event centered around the Dexus Waterfront Brisbane project. This Circular Economy Showcase will feature an exceptional lineup of speakers, each offering unique insights as key stakeholders in the built environment.

At the end of June, CIOB’s new president for 2024/25, Michael Kagioglou highlights the importance of aligning the construction sector with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The shift to a circular economy is crucial to achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals because current patterns of production and consumption are unsustainable in the long term. Sustainable Development Goal 12 aims to ensure that we shift to more sustainable patterns of production and consumption. In the context of the construction industry, this goal emphasizes using resources efficiently and minimizing waste through the adoption of circular principles.
