Paul Chandler joined the Wates Group board in 2018 with overall accountability for Wates Construction Group. Paul’s expertise has been shaped across a construction career spanning over 42 years, notable for delivering profitable, sustainable growth in existing and emerging markets, together with leadership of businesses that have delivered some of the built environments' most recognisable and iconic projects.
Since joining Wates in 2017, Paul has strengthened performance within the Wates Construction Group and, as part of driving the business to deliver the Group’s 2025 strategy, has overseen the development of a national footprint for Wates Construction, SES Engineering Services and Wates Smartspace.
He retired from Wates in December 2024 and now supports a number of cross industry initiatives including the delivery of the CIOB Client Strategy.
