In one of our most recent blogs ‘The New UK Government’s Plans for the Built Environment’ the CIOB Policy and Public Affairs team briefly outlined some of the new bills (proposed new law) that will be taken forward under the Labour Government that are of particular interest to the built environment.

Given the legislative process is well underway on some of these bills, it is worth taking to time to go into some of the draft legislation we will be looking at closely to ensure that it provides a benefit to both the users and creators of the built environment.

This blog will look at a number of interesting, proposed bills to understand their purpose, what details have been announced to date and identify any timelines for reform that are known at this early stage. It is worth noting that there is little detail available about some of these proposed pieces of legislation so far.
