CIOB's Chartered Qualifications are Externally Benchmarked and internationally recognised

CIOB is committed to supporting Construction Professionals to be recognised internationally for their high standards and professionalism. Because of this, we have our qualifications reviewed and benchmarked every year. 

To benchmark our qualifications, we work with Ecctis (previously known as NARIC). This official national agency provides services on behalf of Governments on qualifications, skills and migration. They operate worldwide with a membership and client list of over 62 countries and five continents. Ecctis have confirmed that CIOB Chartered Membership is comparable to a Bachelor's Degree (Level 6), and CIOB Chartered Fellowship is comparable to a Master's Degree (Level 7). 

How to get proof that your Chartered Membership/ Fellowship is benchmarked

You may want to use Chartered Membership/Fellowship as a benchmarked qualification in many situations. Employers may request a Degree to apply for a job. Sometimes, it's a requirement to travel the world and gain a visa to work as a specialist in another country, for example, USA and EAU. 

Ecctis keep a register of their benchmarked qualifications, including a record of CIOB's benchmarked qualifications if you need an external source. When you want to use your Chartered Membership or Fellowship, you can use this as proof of their value.
