Getting started with your company membership application

Are you ready to take the next step in your business journey and become a CIOB Company Member? If so, you're in the right place! In this blog post, we'll walk you through the process of getting started with your application.

Your first step to becoming a company member is to contact our specialist team via either phone or email to discuss your interest in becoming a member. If you feel comfortable with the application already, you can skip straight to step two: filling out your eligibility form. This form will help us determine if you meet the requirements for membership and will also give us a better understanding of your business goals and objectives.

Before starting, it is very important you understand that there is a board quota and minimum trading time required for membership. Each company member needs to have 50% of their board chartered. They don’t need to be chartered with us; they could be Chartered Accountants or Marketers etc, although one is required to be a CIOB Chartered Member. You will also need to have been trading for two years; we will check this against your company's government registration or official accounts.

Online registration 

Once we have received your eligibility form, one of our team can support you through each step of your journey to membership. We will send you login details for our online platform Moodle, a user-friendly platform that provides you with instructions and helpful tips about the completion of your application. There are videos on how to use Moodle, as well as other resources to guide you through the process.

Once you have logged into Moodle, you will be able to access your application form, which will ask for information about your business, your products or services, your policies and processes and how your organisation works. It's important to provide accurate information to ensure a smooth application process.
