Site Visit - The Etihad Stadium’s North Stand expansion revealed

Manchester City is underway with developing a best-in-class fan experience and year-round entertainment and leisure destination at the Etihad Campus.

Join us on this site visit to find out all the key information about the Club’s exciting plans and see the work taking place.

Project Information:

On behalf of the club, Sisk will be expanding and enhancing the Etihad Stadium to develop several connected all-weather facilities. Centred around an expanded North Stand with one larger, single upper tier increasing capacity to over 60,000, these will be fully integrated into the stadium and include:

• A sky bar with views overlooking the pitch
• A stadium roof walk experience
• A covered City Square fan zone with a wide variety of food and drink outlets and a capacity for 3,000 people
• A new club shop
• A museum
• Modest workspace
• A 400-bed hotel

The North Stand itself will open during the 2025/26 football season, with the hotel, workspace and public realm works including City Square, opening in late 2026.

The Club’s development will represent over £300m investment into East Manchester and create 2,600 jobs in the process.

Arrival from 9.00am for a 9:15am start. Please meet at the North Stand Expansion, Etihad Campus, Manchester, M11 3FF.

PPE Requirements:

• 6 Point PPE must be worn on this site visit:
• Long-sleeve Hi-Vis jacket
• Hi-Vis over-trousers
• Protective Eyewear
• Protective Gloves
• Hard hat
• Safety Boots - Please bring your own safety Boots

NOTE: Sisk can provide: hard hats, safety glasses, hi vis vests and gloves. Please contact Bee on the email below if you require any PPE with your required item and size by Friday the 7th of February.

Parking:

Parking is very limited for this project. During event days at the Etihad Stadium (match days) there will be no parking available at the campus.

Alternative parking can be found at Asda M11 4BD which is a 10-minute walk from site. This carpark is pay and display. www.evologyparking.co.uk/app/

Travel by train:

The nearest train station: Manchester Piccadilly Train Station.

From here you can get a Tram connection to Etihad Campus.

Taxis are readily available from: Street Cars Manchester,16 Chorlton Street, Manchester. M1 3HW

10-minute walk away from the site cabins
