Summary

Join CIOB London Tomorrow's Leaders for this exciting site visit in partnership with HS2, the BBVS (Balfour Beatty, VINCI, SYSTRA)

Working in partnership with HS2, the BBVS (Balfour Beatty, VINCI, SYSTRA) Joint Venture is responsible for the final design, construction and commissioning of the HS2 Old Oak Common station in West London.

The station is the London interchange station of the UK’s second high-speed railway. It will be located on the site of the existing Old Oak Common Railway Depot, bounded by the Elizabeth Line Depot to the north, the London Overground West London line to the east, the Intercity Express Programme Depot to the south and Old Oak Common Lane to the west. HS2, Great Western Main Line (GWML), the Elizabeth Line and Heathrow Express services will be served by the new Old Oak Common Station.

The station will provide six high-speed sub-surface platforms and eight conventional surface platforms. Services from Old Oak Common to Birmingham will start between 2029 and 2033. HS2 Old Oak Common Station will provide a state-of-the-art gateway to London and the wider area, with efficient intermodal interchange with rail, taxi, cycle and pedestrian modes. The station will incorporate passenger and retail facilities, providing a high-class and exemplary customer experience for all visitors to the station.
